Locations Walking Tour - Newcastle City Centre
Enjoy a 2 hour stroll around the centre of Newcastle revisiting the locations of many famous scenes from the hard-boiled 1971 gangster classic 'Get Carter' starring Michael Caine.
Brimming with research, your host Pete will take you round some of the key locations in the City Centre, as well as thrilling you with detailed knowledge about the film, some related local history and more than a few exclusives!
The tour finishes at a delightful historic Newcastle pub which wasn't in Get Carter but looks like it should have been, and all guests are invited to get a pint of bitter in a thin glass and rest their legs.

Meet Pete
About "us"
Pete has been a keen collector, archivist and amateur historian for a number of years now, collecting everything from original movie posters, old comedians' ties and inflatable props from Carry On Films.
He also oversees Confessions Press, a nostalgia-fuelled publishing house for those who enjoy classic British telly and films from the 1970s and 1980s.
Having threatened to do it for a number of years, in march 2026 Pete finally took the plunge and led his first Get Carter tour, to much applause.
